Evan McDole crept to within 10 points of joining the Mustangs' 1,000 Point Club, as he led the Stangs to their third win of the season 58-44 with a 12 point performance on Thursday night in the SyDome on "Pink" night, running our record to 3-0.

The Mustangs trailed the Panthers 14-12 after a period despite an 8 point effort by Kevin Smith.  They put it together in the second stanza and outscored Fleming County 19-9 to take a 31-23 lead to the locker-room at intermission but unfortunately lost the Smitty's services when he went down with 2:11 to go in the half and the Mustangs
leading 25-21.

Brossart opened up a ten point lead 35-25 before the Panthers mounted a rally cutting into the Stangs lead 37-34 late in the third period.  They were quickly turned back as the Mustangs went on a 10-4 run and from that point it was only a question of how much???
The Mustangs head to Clark Co on Friday night.

The JVs blew out to an early 16-2 lead and never looked back in defeating their Panther counterparts 46-30 for their fourth win of the young season.   Jimmy Uebel put on a passing clinic in this contest as he and the entire JV squad moved the ball extremely well and were a pleasure to watch work thier magic.

Troy Cooper led all scorers with a quiet 13 points, scoring no more than five points in any one quarter.  Luke Rebholz earned a start from Coach Rowe and rewarded his coach's confidence with a six point performance, hitting the first basket in both halves.  Matt Lloyd demonstrated a high level of confidence taking the ball to the rack and scoring it on two occasions, while hitting 3 of 3 from the charity stripe.  Including the Campbell County game Matt has hit eight of his last nine free throws.   Adam Franzen delivered a 10 point performance as seven Mustangs dented the scoring column.  Josh Kidney sat out the JV game with an ouchy wrist.  He had an MRI scan done this morning but was unable to get it read to determine his availablity to play in the JV Game.
