JEFF CLARK TELLS OF HIS EXPERIENCES AT RUPP
During the younger days of my life I had always dreamt of playing for the University of Kentucky Wildcats. As I grew older and faced reality, it became evident that it wasn't going to happen. So, during high school I set my sights on playng where the Cats play ...... and we did it. It was such a great thrill walking into Rupp Arena and watching the awe on the younger guys' faces when they first saw the massive facility. It made me feel twice as good that we had made it. I had been lucky enough to have attended two or three UK games in Rupp, so the surprise was over for me, but it was special this time because now we were coming to play. Just before taking the floor for warm-ups, my final thoughts were "Oh my God, We are really going to do this." It was incredible, to look up behind the baskets and see half of the town of Alexandria there rooting for us. It was awesome. Tipoff Time!!! Playing on the floor wasn't enoughfor us. We came to Lexington wanting to prove that we were not just some fluke team. At halftime, I knew that we would step it up another notch and get the job done. We came out in the secnd half with some fire in our eyes and ended up winning the game. Now we would have another chance to play in the floor that every kid in Kenucky dreams of playing on and loves soooo much. Even though we lost our second game we had earned the respect and admiration of everybody in the stands at Rupp. I had some of the best times of my life down there and I will never forget them.

SCOTT RUTH SHARES HIS THOUGHTS ON HIS SENIOR SEASON
This year was a very special one for me. We played very well together although we each went through some high and low times. For me, the worst was at the beginnig of the season when I "tripped over a line" at practice and sprained my ankle. I missed four gmes including CovCath and Campbell County. It was tough to sit on the bench and watch. Even though we won all four, I wanted so badly to go out there and play. Our loss to NewCath seemed to knock us off track. We would win a few and lose a few, never quite finding ourselves again until the right time. We finally got it back together at District Tournament time. We beat Pendleton and Bracken Counties to secure a spot in the regional tournament. This time when we played Campbell County in the District Championship game I was able to play and helped lead our team to victory by scoring 16 points. I was named to the All-Tournament team which was great because I had never before been so honored. The regional tournament was a great experience and finally after three years, we got to cut the nets down in the Mason County Fieldhouse. Rupp Arena was so much fun. We went down there looking to keep our win streak alive and we did. After the Graves County game I was named "Player of the Game" and received a handsome glass trophy (Pictured at right). It was something nice because it was something I feel I had earned and was something that was kind of a reward for all of the years of hard work and pain that I had been through. The second game vs Russellville was bad because we lost, but it was the perfect ending to my high school career. I had a lot of fun and will never forget it.
DID YOU KNOW............... That when the Brossart Mustangs won the 10th Region Championship in 2000, they were the first team in 29 years to represent the 38th District in the Sweet Sixteen, State Tournament?????
