    '11 Grad Daniel Schultz Returns
To Alma Mater To Handle Reins Of 16-17 JV Mustangs

2011 Brossart grad Daniel Schultz joined Team Code and
inherited one of the youngest Junior Varsity teams that we have
ever fielded.
Nine sophomores and a single junior graced the roster, and
sophomore Bryson Wieland was elevated to straight varsity
duty eight games into the season.
The lone returning Junior - Austin Schirmer hadn't logged a
minute of playing time the previous season due to a serious knee
injury sustained the spring of his sophomore season.
Freshman Ethan Eilerman bolstered the ranks of the JVs for
the final eight games of the season and saw substantial playing
time.
Joining Schultz on the sidline was newcomer Aaron Linville,
who cut his coaching teeth at his Alma Mater - Augusta High
School - and as an assistant with the Bracken County girls
program.

The 7-13 JVs showed steady improvement and might have
played their best basketball in late-season games with NCC and
Lloyd.

Tyler MacDonald was the team's leading scorer at 202 points in
18 games for a 11.2ppg average.  He was also the team's leading
rebounder (76), shot-blocker (7), steals leader (32), and led the
team in charges taken with 7.
Tanner Griffin led the team at the charity stripe (28-34-82%).  Bradley Hickman doled out the most
assists with 24.  Austin Schirmer was close behind with 22.  Shirmer was also the team's second
leading rebounder.

For their efforts Tyler MacDonald was tabbed the team MVP.  Allen Jump and Jacob Steffen were
named Most-Improved.
