Our first year Mustangs were no match for the bigger, deeper, more experienced, Newport Central Thoroughbreds
Monday evening on the Carothers Road Hill.
As feared, the Breds used their experience to advantage, scoring early and often, opening up a 28-0 bulge by halftime.
Late in the third quarter Mustang Sophomore Tony Woeste broke away to the NCC five yard line where John Tallarigo completed a pass to Brett Moss for the Musatngs only score.
The final score ended up 50-something to 6, with no one exactly sure what the exact margain was.
It didn't matter - the message was received. We've got lots of work to do, numbers-wise and skill-level wise before we take our show back to the NCC hill with win on our minds. |
