Coach Bob Rowe
Celebrates 200th Career Baseball Head Coaching
Milestone With 4-2 Win Over Bellevue Tigers
Coach Bob Rowe took over the reins of the Brossart Mustangs varsity baseball program in the spring of 1998.
On Tuesday afternoon, our successful, demanding, no-nonsense, head coach who "simply gets the job done" year in and year out, notched his 200th career varsity victory when his Mustangs defeated Bellevue
4-2.
Bob Rowe is presently the winningest coach in the history of Brossart Baseball.
A lot of water has passed under the bridge over these eleven seasons.
His teams are presently averaging just short of twenty wins per season against one of the toughest schedules in Northern Kentucky, with an overall record of 200-152-1 in his eleventh season.  He has won the 10th Region "A" Title in all five years of its existance, and won the "A" Sectional back in '05 when his Mustangs defeated Beechwood, the top team in the area that year.
His resume includes District Baseball Championships in 1999, 2006, and 2007, and his squad were 10th Region runners-up in 1999 and 2001.  Coach Rowe's teams have captured five NKAC Conference Championships.
He has been named "Coach of the Year" by many venues on many occasions, and last year added Kentucky Association of Baseball Coaches 10th Region "Coach Of The Year" to his resume.
He has twice served as an assistant coach on the Kentucky Junior and Senior All-Star Teams.
In addition to his teams' exploits on the field, he has also overseen the complete revovtion of our St. Mary home baseball field, with the installation of the sod infield, a sprinkler system, building the existing dugouts, replacement of the outfield fences and backstop, securing the scoreboard, and the building of the only indoor practice facility of its kind in Northern Kentucky.
A matter of pride with Coach Rowe are the number of players presently playing college baseball or offered college scholarships.  Recent graduates Evan McDole, Ryan Anderson, Nathan Mutsch, and Chris Simon are all attending college on baseball scholarships.
Bob Rowe doubles as our assistant basketball coach, a post that he has held for the past twelve seasons.  Duirng that time his junior varsity teams have notched seven district championships, while he has been instrumental in all of the success that the varsity program has achieved during that span, including winning the 10th Region Tournament in 2000, seven 10th Region "A" Championships and the 2007 All "A" State Championship.

Congratulations to Coach Rowe on Number 200!  And many more............
