Mustangs Come Off The Shelf With 60-53 NKAC Conference Win Over Lloyd
Joe Webb Knocks Down His 100th Career Three Point Goal
JVs  Win 34-29 To Complete The Sweep - Allen Kramer Leads Way With 10, Travis Norton Adds 9
The Brossart Mustangs returned to action after the best part of two weeks of being on the sidelines last night at Lloyd
Memorial, handing the home-standing Juggernauts an NKAC Division II loss 60-53 in game that wasn't actually decided until
the final two minutes of the contest, when the Mustangs went on a 9-3 run to secure our 16th win of the season, and keep
our conference record unblemished at 3-0.
The Mustangs led 18-17 after a quarter of play, having had to overcome an early Juggernaut lead, and managed a 32-28
advantage at halftime as Drew Kremer knocked down a three-pointer and Joey Webb connected on his second of the night.
Brossart threatened to blow the game open at the 4:55 mark of the third quarter, as Joey Webb hit his third long-range bomb
of the night, and the 100th 3-point goal of his career.  Lloyd battled back to make it a 46-41 contest after three quarters of
play.
Things got testy at the two minute mark of the fourth quarter when the Juggernauts closed the gap to 51-50, but a Drew
Kremer tip-in pushed the Mustang lead back to 53-50 and a free-throw and two consecutive baskets by Jordan Armstrong
widened the margain to five points at 58-53 with only 23 ticks left to play in the game.  Joey Webb put the icing on the cake
with an uncontested layup ahead of the buzzer to make the final score 60-53 and improve our overall record to 16-4 as the
Mustangs return home  to face Newport Central Catholic in another key NKAC Conference
battle on Saturday night.
Congratulations to Senior Joey Webb on his 100 Three-Point Varsity Goal milestone.
As a side-note Joey also hit 35 shots from beyond the arc as a freshman while
playing freshmen ball, and another 25 as a sophomore and junior while competing
with the Junior Varsity team.
