The Brossart Mustangs welcomed the Deming Black Devils To The SyDome for the first time and
then tagged them with their first loss of the season 58-40 on Monday night.
The Mustangs exploded out to a 16-5 lead after a quarter of play that saw Jacob Rieger be responsible
for 9 of those 16 points, while Luke King posted all 5 for the Black Devils.  Joey Webb and Justin
Morscher connected on three long-range bombs for 9 of our 13 second quarter tallies.  Deming
countered with 12 in the second stanza, as the Mustangs extended their lead to 29-17 at intermission.
Deming scored the first seven points of the second half, cutting the Mustangs lead to 29-24 at the
five minute mark before Jordan Armstrong stopped the bleeding with a 3-pointer, from where the
Mustangs re-established a ten point 38-28 lead at the end of three quarters.  The Black Devils again
tried to rally in the fourth quarter cutting the home team's lead
to 38-32 early on, but an 11-3 Brossart run gave the Mustangs
an insurmountable 49-35 lead, as Drew Kremer found the
baseline to be the road to success, scoring 10 points in the
fourth quarter to earn him Subway Player of the Game honors
for the second time this season.
Brossart went on to win the game, 58-40 dropping Deming's
season record to 5-1, while Brossart improved to 5-1 and
completed the 3 game sweep of the long-weekend homestand.

Jacob Rieger led the Mustangs with 17 points, and probably posted a back-to-back double-double
after accomplishing that feat on Saturday night vs Highlands.  Drew Kremer finished with 16 points,
and Joey Webb tacked on 12.
On the Deming side of the ledger Kyle King was the leading scorer with 14 points and twin brother
Luke added 11.
