| The Brossart Mustangs continued on a northeastern path Friday night, getting double figure offensive performances from Mitch Patterson, Jacob Rieger, Joey Webb, and Greg Stortz in defeating the visiting Augusta Panters 65-44. |

| While the offensive output of the Mustangs drew the headlines today, it was the defensive efforts of the ballclub, that is directly responsible for putting the Augusta ball on the wall. The Mustangs continued to show poise and maturity in competing with the explosive offensive intentions of the Augusta Panthers who prefer an uptempo style game and try to simply outscore you. The Stangs limited the Panthers to merely 44 points on the night, the third lowest total point output by guys from A-Town in twenty-four outings this season. Following a 17-16 fast-paced first period that saw both Webb and Patterson drop two long-range bombs on the Panthers, the Mustangs defense heated up in the second period, limiting the visitors to only seven points as the Stangs |
| opened up a 29-23 advantage at intermission. Brossart exploded for 22 points out of the locker room to increase our advantage to 51-38 after three periods, and then limited the Panthers to a sum total of three field goals in the fourth quarter as the Mustangs won their fourteeth game of the season. Mitch Patterson painted a Ken Shields Picasso on both ends of the floor, scoring 18 points on the night, including a pair of 3-Pointers while doing a masterful job of quarterbacking the ballclub and d-ing up the Panther guards. Joey Webb and Greg Stortz put up a dozen apiece and Webb added two more long range bombs bringing his season total to 49 three-point goals. Augusta was led by the hard-working senior post-player, Dustin Staggs, who put up 18 points on the night, with 10 of those coming in the third quarter. | Sean Crowley dropped a pair of long-range bombs on the Augusta Panthers in the first period, setting the stage for a 12-8 lead after six minutes as the Mustangs put 12 players in the scoring column enroute to a 53-28 homestanding victory. Crowley would finish his night's work with 8 points, matched by Justin Morscher who teamed with Crowley for all twelve of the Mustangs first quarter tallies. The Mustangs jointly connected on 7 long-range trifectas, as Stevie Popovich threw in two, Nick Hanneken one, and Travis Norton one. Augusta was led by Ryan Kelsh and Joseph Gray with 9 each.
