Score One For The
Campbell County Camels
The Campbell County Camels won their first Alexandria Businessman's Community Classic game over the Brossart Mustangs since December 8th, 2001, ending the Mustangs reign of superiority with a 46-25 win before a full-house at the Campbell County Middle School on Friday night.
Campbell County was simply the bigger, better, more experienced team on this night.
The two teams battled to a 2-2 tie in the opening moments of the game, with Campbell County making it 4-3 before easing out to a 14-6 first quarter lead.  Brossart only managed five additional points in the second period, with Campbell County taking a 22-11 lead to the locker room at halftime.
Only a late third quarter 3 ball by Mitch Patterson saved the Mustangs from being shut out in the period as the Camels opened up an insurmountable 35-14 lead, and cruised to a 46-25 win over our "not quite ready for prime time" Mustangs.
