  St. Henry took over the NKAC Divsion II lead with a homestanding win over our Mustangs 44-33 in the prelim game.
   Brossart trailed 14-11 in a fast-paced first quarter, and overcame a 9-0 second period St. Henry run to close the gap to 22-21 at the half.
   The Mustangs could only manage a pair of Greg Stortz field-goals in the third period as we fell behind 30-25 and were ouscored 14-8 down the stretch as Bob Rowe's Mustangs fall to 12-6 on the season, but more importantly
4-1 in the NKAC Division II race.
   The Stangs failed at the free-throw line connecting on only 8-21 for a 38% outing.

JVs Fall 44-33 As Cru Take Over Drivers Seat In Conference Race
The Brossart Mustangs ran out to an easy 11-2 first quarter lead and never looked back enroute to a 69-47 win over the St. Henry Crusaders.  Troy Cooper (25) and Nathan Mutsch (14) combined for 39 points, as Mutsch made his first appearance in competition since injuring his right hand back on January 6th.  After being held scoreless in the first half, Mutsch exploded for 14 points in the second half, including two 3-pointers.  He and Cooper grabbed six rebounds each.
   Down 23-11 at the half, St. Henry elected to play press and run in the second half, resulting in the Mustangs putting 46 points on the board, outscoring the Cru 46-34.
   Troy Cooper scored 25 points on the night,  increasing his career scoring mark to 945, bringing him to within 55 points of the Brossart 1,000 Points Club.
   Nine Mustangs put ink in the scorebook as the Mustangs improve to 23-3 on the season and remain undefeated in the NKAC Divsion II race which we can clinch on Tuesday night with a win over Newport on Seniors Night.  Brandon Lenhof was held to 8 points on the night as the Cru were led by Jordan Griffin with 13 points.
