|Brossart flexed some Mustang muscle in the opening
round of the MCIT, thumping the Montgomery County
Indians, who had entered the game with a 12-1 win-loss
record, 60-33 in a game that the Mustangs dominated
from flag-fall to that's all.
Jimmy Uebel, Nathan Mutsch, and Troy Cooper
combined for eleven points in the first period to open up
an 11-5 first period lead and never looked back, pushing
the lead out to 28-14 at halftime and had the game safely
tucked away after three-periods.at 50-26 when Coach
Mike Code allowed the JVs to play out the fourth quarter.
As the Mustangs wished the Inidians well in the
obligatory acknowledgment line following the game,
Coach Bart Rison payed the Mustangs a supreme
compliment with the comment that we are the team that
they are striving to be.
The Mustangs improve to 11-1 on the season and will
face Campbell County, a familiar foe in the semi-finals
