Camels Dethrone JV Mustangs As Defending 37th District Champs
Beat Mustangs 47-39 In
District Semi-Finals
The Brossart Mustangs' reign of Junior Varsity supremecy has come to an end after collecting four consecutive 38th and 37th district JV championships.
For the first time in five years  someone other than a Bob Rowe coached Brossart team will "cut the nets down" and be declared 37th District Champions.

As bad as Bob, his team, and our fans wanted it, the bottom line was we were simply outmanned.

No one would have been shocked if Brossart would have beaten Campbell County tonight in the district
semi-finals, we've done it with great regularity over those four years and beat them three times last season with
arguably lesser talent.

In Friday night's contest, the Mustangs came to play and trailed by only 11-9 after a period, and 22-19 at the half.
A lackluster offensive performance in the first half of the third period allowed the Camels to expand their lead to twelve and doomed the Mustangs upset hopes.  Our guys rallied to cut the lead to 36-29 with six minutes to play in the game, but the two teams traded hoops in the fourth quarter as the Camels prevailed 47-39.  They will take on Scott for the 2007 37th District Championship.

The Mustangs were led by Jacob Rieger with 10 points, as nine players put points on the board.  Greg Stortz contributed 8 and Mitch Patterson 7.

Andy Franzen led the Camels with 14 points.

Congratulations and best of luck to Coach Dave Enzweiler and the Camels.
