Freshmen Mustangs Living The School Creed
CHARITY FIRST!
Spot The Lloyd Juggs A 9-2 Lead And Then Gun Them Down
41-19 In A NKAC Divsion II Game Last Night At Lloyd
Pair Of Jake Heil Threes Ignite The Offense
The Brossart High School faculty would be so proud that the Mustang
Freshmen have taken the school motto of "Charity First" to heart and
are actually living it out in their recent ballgames.  Or maybe in the case
of these Mustangs the motto should be changed to "Charity in the First
Quarter."

On Tuesday of this week the Mustangs allowed Boone
County to open an 18-2 first quarter advantage before
battling back to make a game of it, and last night in
Erlanger the Mustangs allowed the home team to run out
to an early 9-2 lead before Jake Heil deviated from the
script and planted two perfect three point shots from
opposite sides of the court on successive possessions.
Two demerits for Heil - but six quick points for the
Mustangs and a 9-8 ballgame.

The Juggs would still manage to lead 11-10 at the end of
first quarter but that's where the Mr. Nice Guy stuff stopped.
Reminiscent of the Boone County game where our Mustangs would
outscore the home team 14-4 in the second period, last night they
would lay a 9-1 wallop on Lloyd in the second stanza to take a 19-12
advantage to the locker room at halftime.

The second half would be more of the same as the Staangs limited the
Juggs to only seven points in the second half, outscoring them 22-7
while giving up a  total of eight points for the 2nd/3rd/4th periods.

Meanwhile eight Mustangs were putting ink in the scorebook, led by
Tony Woeste who came from off the bench to lead all scorers with 8
points.  Big Ben Weyman and Justin Barth joined Jake Heil with 6 on
the night as the Mustangs claw back to .500 at 7-7.

Box Score:  Heil 0-2-0/0-6, Beane 2-0-0/0-4, Webb 1-1-0/0-5,
                  TWoeste 3-0-2/2-8, Wolfer 1-0-0/2-2,
                  Weyman 3-0-0/0-6, Barth 3-0-0/0-6, Dennis 0-0-4/4-4

        Total Mustangs:    13-3-6/8-41      7-7   2-1
        Total Juggernauts:  7-0-2/8-19      3-9
